Chicco d’Oro coffee beans are always oily. Why?
This is your guarantee of freshness. Only fresh coffee beans have an oily surface. It also means, the fresher the coffee, the more often the coffee grinder should be cleaned.
My fully automatic machine doesn’t make such a good coffee like it used to. Why?
After a few months of use, a film of oil from the beans collects on the coffee grinder. This residue then turns rancid and spoils the flavor of the freshly ground coffee.
How often should an espresso machine be serviced?
Every six months is advisable when used daily, especially the fully automatic ones. If only used occasionally, once a year is sufficient.
Should I buy a standard model or a sophisticated espresso machine with all the gadgets?
Today’s machines are all equipped with highly reliable electronics, so no worries on that score. However, sophisticated machines require sophisticated servicing.
Can I put two espresso pads in the two-cup filter?
The single pads need a certain pressure in order to extract the full aroma. That’s why they only work in the smaller, single filter sieve.
I only get a watery espresso when using the pads in my single manual filter. Why?
For Cremino single portion espresso pads, you need the special filter adapter with its finer sieve. Send us a mail with the kind of machine you have, maybe we can help.
What type of espresso machine do you recommend for single portion pads?
For our recommendations, please go to Equipment.
Does your customer care also include machine servicing?
Guarantee and regular servicing is warranted on all machines supplied by us. The espresso trend has brought many servicing companies into life. Local servicing is therefore recommended for other standard espresso machines.
